There are no "Bad Days"

Being in college makes it extremely hard to feel the motivation to stay healthy, since you have to go out of your way more than you would at home in order to do so. I am here to tell you that it is 100% possible and that I am living proof of this. It's all about using the resources around you such as workout centers, food courts, and local grocery stores. With that said, there are absolutely no such thing as bad days when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. You might want to eat more one day, and feel too lazy or tired to get in a workout, and you have to know that this is totally OK! This post is all about my completely candid full day of eating/exercise (or lack of) to show you that not every day is 100% perfect or 'healthy', and life is much more fun when you can improvise :)

Meals

Breakfast: Everything bagel scooped out with vegan butter & 1 serving of cream cheese

Snack: 1 serving of Rice crackers & coffee

Dinner: Thai Tofu; grapes; pretzels w/ hummus

Dessert/Late-night snacks: Dark chocolate almonds & granola; 5 oz plain frozen yogurt

Usually I eat different every day, but this is usually a little more than I eat on most days. I think the best part about being an intuitive eater is that if I really am hungry one day, I will eat as much as I want until I am completely satisfied. Tomorrow, odds are I probably won't be as hungry until the afternoon, so I will listen to my body and not eat until my body tells me to.  I just want everyone to understand that there is no 'right' or 'wrong' when it comes to food or health. Being healthy means you are respecting your body and fulfilling its needs.

Workout

Today I planned on doing a Fitness Blender workout, but due to the cold weather and not feeling well, after doing a few squats I felt way too weak to keep going.

I think that the best thing to do when it comes to exercise, is to never force it too hard. There is a difference between pushing yourself and forcing something. I will sometimes push myself to do a workout if I feel fine physically, enjoy the workout I want to do, and if I am just feeling a little lazy. I will never force a workout if I feel sick or run-down or just feel like the workout will not benefit me mentally or physically that day. You should workout for your mind and body and to feel good and confident. For me, workouts always help boost my confidence and also make me feel relaxed and even more motivated, so if I feel like my workout isn't going to benefit any of these things, and just make me feel worse, I will never feel bad for skipping it.

I know this has been an extremely wordy post, but I felt the need to show you that everyone including actresses, models, health professionals, and of course me, has their 'lazy' days, their 'off days' and their 'I just need to eat the world days'. Next time you have this, please don't feel guilty. You have one life to live so you better enjoy it!!
