How I'm Preparing For College Graduation
I can’t believe I am graduating college in just one short month.
I know I’ve been a little slow on the blog and social media lately, but taking in my last month of college (and finishing classes strong) has been a top priority for me. After that, I am so exited to focus on my future and career, but for now I am living in the moment.
The reason I am so eager to post today is because I want to share with my fellow graduates (whether it’s high school or college) how I am preparing for the big day! So without further ado, let’s get on with the post.
detoxing my space
Something super important to me right now is getting rid of everything that is not essential. Since the year is coming to an end and lots of exciting things are coming up, the best thing I can do for myself is lessen the stress around me. I have been throwing out any accessories, home items, or clothes/shoes that I don’t need anymore, and getting my things prepared to be taken home.
spending time with friends
Although school is so important, now more than ever I have been taking the time to go out and enjoy myself with friends. From spring break in Miami to celebrating a big event at school this past weekend, these last six weeks are dedicated to the amazing people around me. I still care about school, but I know after four years I am allowed to take it easy and let my social life take over a little more than usual…because balance, right?
preparing for family to visit
My entire family is extremely close, and I am lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents coming to watch me walk across the stage and get my diploma this May. Something I came across is an amazing brand called Basic Invite. Basic Invite is an invitation website that allows you to customize invitations and envelopes for any occasion in an instant. I am especially obsessed with it because they offer graduation trunk party invitations, pretty graduation invitations, and even high school graduation invitations for the high school grads out there! They provide custom samples and even have a service that gets all the addresses you need via your social media accounts without you lifting a finger!
And because I am graduating too, I have partnered with Basic Invite to give you guys 15% off with the code 15FF51. Here are some of their amazing samples.
4. finding the perfect dress!
The final thing I’ve been focusing on is finding my graduation dress! I have gone through so many options and have found amazing dresses so far, but I wanted to share just a few websites that I think have the best options for you. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, Forever 21, ASOS, Lulu’s and Tobi are all amazing options. If you don’t mind splurging a little bit, Revolve, Shopbop, and Nordstrom have gorgeous yet tasteful dresses for the big day.
& that is all! I hope you guys enjoyed this little graduation post & got inspired to start prepping yourself if it’s graduation season for you too! Remember to take it all in and spend time with friends & family- that’s what really counts.
